In this video, I use simply just used to elements, the window and the planet. I placed the window element very close to the camera and the planet far into the distance to give the show how far away it is. Once i did that in nuke i took it into after effects to create the flare.

This was the node layout that I made in nuke for the video, I was stuck for a while on the rotoscoping because I roto'd each window, but it instead of taking the windows away it kept them. However i remember I had a problem with my aplhas when Josh Parks came in and he used the copy node to bring the apha onto the other image. So I used an invert not to invert the aplha and then bring that aplha onto the image using the copy node.
